Borovets is the oldest winter resort in Bulgaria, its history can be traced all the way back to 1896.

Borovets is the oldest winter resort in Bulgaria, its history can be traced all the way back to 1896. Located in the eastern part of the Rila Mountains, at an altitude of 1345 m. The resort is suitable for your winter holiday and offers good opportunities for recreation, sports and tourism.

The climate is temperate and the winter is mild with many snow. The average temperature in January, the coldest month, is about 4.8 ° C. The ski season lasts, typically, from mid-December to April. The resort offers excellent conditions for winter sports: alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country, freestyle and freeride.

 

Wonderful winter landscapes, sun and of course a variety of ski runs - 24 in total with a total length of 58 km away. The tracks are of varying degrees of difficulty and stress, suitable for both beginners and advanced. The resort has hosted the World Cup in Ski Alpine style twice and the European Cup competitions eleven times, one of which was in February, 2014. (Slalom and giant slalom for men).

Borovets is a challenge and a favorite place for snowboarders and offers both different in complexity and workload terrain tracks and two parks - Snowpark Borosport on top of Pistas "Popangelov" and Promo Park Borosport the "Rila" hotel in the center of Borovets opposite to. There are conditions for night skiing up to 10 PM.

In summer, you will not be bored in Borovets either. The mountain offers numerous hiking trails, green meadows, picturesque pine forests and crystal clear mountain lakes.
